Ted Kennedy, Jr. was the keynote speaker at the
Council for Exceptional Children 2003 Annual
Convention and Expo in Seattle, Washington,
at which a Different Ability Powerpoint Presentation
was also presented. We requested a private meeting
after his keynote on April 9, 2003. because he lost
a leg to cancer at age twelve, and is a prominent
disability rights attorney. He has had a tremendous
impact on our goals and activites.

Former Chicago Blackhawk Captain and coach Keith Magnuson,
56,
was killed in a car accident on December 15, 2003 in suburban Toronto.
We had planned on having him do some charitable work with us, but his
life was tragically taken before this was ever possible.
Though he was a bruiser on the ice, he was a true gentleman with a kind
heart
and will be sorely missed by those who knew him.
May his memory live on forever.
